OnePlus 10 Pro EDL Test Point HS-USB QDLoader 9008

In this guide, we will make you aware of the EDL Test Point on your OnePlus 10 Pro. Inspite of all the fiasco that the devices from the Chinese OEM are currently embroiled in, there is always a saving grace in the fact that they are at least the most active players in custom development. So even if you are greeted with elements of ColorOS in stock OxygenOS, you always have the fallback option to flash a custom ROM of your choice.

But there’s always an element of risk involved in carrying out these tweaks. In most cases, your device might end up in a bootloop or softbrick. When that happens, you could easily bring it back to life by flashing the stock firmware either via Fastboot Commands or using a tool like Fastboot Enhance. But what if the device gets hard-bricked?

Well, if you have a OnePlus device with an underlying Qualcomm chipset, then you could even fix this hardbrick. All that is needed is to boot your device to EDL Mode and then flash the OFP unbrick firmware via the MSM Download Tool. While the tool is yet to go live, but the method to boot your OnePlus 10 Pro to EDL via the Test Point method is already live. So without any further ado, let’s check it out.

Do note that the below process is slightly technical and it’s better to first try the conventional method of booting to the EDL Mode. If that doesn’t work out, then you may proceed ahead with the below “hardware” steps to get this job done. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps.

  1. To begin with, download and install the Qualcomm HS USB QD Loader Drivers.OnePlus 10 Pro EDL Test Point

  3. Next up, disconnect the battery from your device. Then plug one end of the USB cable into the device.
  4. Now connect the other end of the cable to the computer when short-circuiting the red-marked area.

  5. If done correctly, your device will now boot to the EDL Mode and you may then start the flashing process via the MSM Tool.
  6. To verify the same, open Device Manager and expand the Ports or Other Devices section.
  7. If your device is listed as Qualcomm-HS-USB-QDLoader-9008, then it has been successfully booted to EDL.OnePlus 10 Pro EDL Test Point
  8. On the other hand, if it shows QHUSB_BULK, then the EDL connection hasn’t been successfully established and you will have to retry the process.OnePlus 10 Pro EDL Test Point
