Fix 1: Take the Fastboot Approach

Many users were able to rectify this issue after booting their device to Fastboot Mode and from there, booting it back to the OS. Here’s how you could try it out:

  2. Then press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys for about 5-7 seconds.
  3. Your device will boot to the Fastboot Mode.

  4. Now again press and hold the Power and Volume Down for a few seconds
  5. Your device will exit the Fastboot Mode and boot to the system.

That’s it. This was the first method to fix the Poco M3 DeadBoot issue. Let’s now make you aware of the other two.

Fix 2: Perform a Force Reboot

One of the concerned users contacted the Poco support team and their representative shared this method with them. What you need to do is press and hold the Power key for a considerable time period, around 15-17 seconds. This will force-reboot the device and shall then fix the Poco M3 DeadBoot issue as well.

Fix 3: Drain the Battery

The third and final fix requires you to completely drain your battery. For that, just leave your device aside until the battery level goes down to 0% and it turns off. When that happens, plug your device into the charger. As soon as the device starts charging, it shall boot to the OS and the issue stands rectified.

  • All methods work for me, but i got oberservation too.. try to roll back into MIUI or just reflash to stock rom using fastboot rom not a recovery rom..

Booting issue is not a problem anymore, you will encounter it again if you unlock the bootloader again..

idk but this is my oberservation so far

  • Obviously, the 3rd solution wasn’t available as it will not fast boot or force boot at all. This happened after an update. In phone settings, it said please update MIUI poco M3 so I did & the phone crashed. It would not turn on for 3 days when it finally returned I thought all had been fixed, unfortunately, 2 days later it died again?

I tried the first option to get it to Fastboot mode and it worked but recently I shut down my Poco M3 and the phone wouldn’t start. I tried again the fast boot but it did not take me to the fast boot screen. It was completely dead. So I had to open the phone and disconnect the battery because it was 100% charged and it would take me days to let it drain. However once I connected it back the phone started up… It seems that after that update the Poco M3 can’t be shut down because it will go to a dead boot. Do you think there is another way that this could be fix?
